Requirements
- Education: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in event planning tools (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent, or Trello) and Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with budget tracking and basic project management principles.
- Basic knowledge of marketing tools for event promotion (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, or social media platforms).
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in event coordination or planning (through internships, academic projects, or volunteer work).
- Experience in organizing tasks, managing schedules, and coordinating with vendors or teams.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders and attendees.
- Problem-solving mindset with flexibility to handle unexpected challenges.
Responsibilities
- Event Planning: Assist in organizing event logistics, including venue setup, scheduling, and vendor coordination, under senior guidance.
- Team Coordination: Support communication between vendors, staff, and stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor event planning milestones, update task lists, and report on progress using planning tools.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of event plans, budgets, and post-event evaluations for transparency.
- Risk Management: Identify potential event risks, escalate issues, and assist in resolving challenges to ensure successful outcomes.
